Default Advise needed on Decats on PPP classic

Hi guys wonder if someone can make sense of all the stuff ive read on here about PPP cars and fitted decat'd down pipes.
In a nutshell mines a MY99 classic, its got a PPP ecu and Prodrive backbox. Only other thing thats different is a JR panel filter.
Reason for the thread is some guys seem to have had probs with lag and hesitations and some guys seem to be running better than before with the CAT in.
Can any one help? Not really keen on buying the thing, putting it on and then finding im worse off.

Any clever blokes out there with the info?

Ta very much
Matt

Boost control is the issue (can go into oscillation) - in the early days I played with restrictor sizes to sort it out 'cos I didn't want to fit a Dawes and take control away from ECU. When I finally did it was perfect. Fit a manual boost controller at same time.
