Default Advice needed - Oil filter change

Hi all.

apologies first of all as this isn't actually a question about my scoob but my oil burner.

Anyone changed an oil filter on a Fiesta 1.4tdci (2003)? Doing it for the first time at the weekend and it looks like a paper filter to me? Step by step idiot instructions needed please.

Thanks all

andy

Good advice

but wouldn't it be better to drop the oil before attempting to remove the filter?

As I say - idiots guide wanted. Please.

Makes no difference provided you dont start it with old oil and new filter.I personally choose to drain oil and leave draining while changing filter,The re-fit sump plug,Then fill with oil.
