Question Squeal from engine when heater on

Hi i am getting a squealing noise from the drivers side of the engine when the heater is on high and it goes of when i turn the heater off can anybody advise me what the problem could be and where to start looking. Ok for me as i can not hear it in the car but everybody outside can

Turn off the a/c. See if the noise stops.

if by heater you mean the fan then maybe the alternator belt is a bit slack?? heater fan on full does have quite a pull and if the battery is a bit low this might make it worse, do you get the same probs when you have lights on etc?
