Default Up Pipe

The up pipe has cracked on the flexi-joint and needs replacing as it is blowing - can anyone advise me on how I go about changing it?

I am compitent with a spanner but would like to know what needs to be removed in order to gain access and what needs to be done in what order etc.

I understand the break servo needs removing in order to gain access - is this true and if so will I have to disconnect the break lines which will then mean bleading the whole break system on refit?

All advice greatly appreciated.

Have been quoted £470+

Thanks

P.S any ideas where to get an up pipe? Can be a new standard one or a stainless item?

To get to the up pipe u need to remove the down pipe too, u could get one from here as someone may not need there old up pipe, it could be tricky as some of the bolts may seize up etc, but u could call one of the local tuners for a better quote..

Thanks.

I have changed the downpipe in the past so it should not be too bad to take it off again.

So it needs removing does it, anything else I need to remove...?

No need to remove the servo or any part of the breaking system.

Remove down-pipe and headers, un-bolt up-pipe from turbo(5 bolts),Un-bolt offside engine mounting and jack engine up about an inch maybe two.Up-pipe will now come out the bottom.

Quoted £470+ Wow someones having a laugh.I'll do it for £200 all in

If you are near Darlington or prepared to travel, specially designed uppipe which will improve performance, £125, fitting £60. You could combine it with ported headers for further performance gains.
