Default boost problems

jus wonderin if any of u guys could give me any advice

i have an MY99 uk scoob and wen i put my foot down in second gear occasionally it doesnt seem to be boosting properly. it still has an amount of pull but nothing like it should do and then at about 5 to 6k it pulls like it should. sometimes happens in 3rd and 4th but its no where near as noticable. had an engine rebuild about 2 months ago with a new clutch and a re-cond turbo.

any advice would b great as am starting to worry now

Firsly, i'd check that all the turbo and intercooler pipe jubilee clips are done up correctly. I had a similar problem on my sti 4. Turned out to be a loose clip around the induction area!

There's a built in sequence in the ecu on that year and my00 I think, possibly more... I won't ramble.

Anyway that limits boost after a certain time light throttle in 2nd gear, something to do with european emmissions or noise something like that.

I thought my car was fecked when i took it to knockhill a few years back, always gutless out of the hairpin at 10psi iirc. should be 13 or 14?? don't remember

On reading your post again, it shouldn't happen in 3rd and 4th and as far as I recall the boost stays low in 2nd until you change gear, doesn't come back in at 5-6k. Someone would need to confirm this though.
