thought the classic was a 2 peice?

 

the classic is a 3 piece as standard, however there are a few 2 piece systems out there, i had one which i have just removed

The amount of components for the system. Usually it is Downpipe - Centre section - Back box, so thats a 3 piece system.
A 2 piece system would be Downpipe - Centre combined with backbox

If he's your mate, just borrow it and place it up next to your existing system that it replaces and see what it looks like, if it looks like it will fit then try to do so as its a very quick job to do.
