If your trying to find if for registering don't worry.. Just put Unkown. I do it to all my imports.

if not, take off intercooler and it's over the back.

The EJ20 can be seen just by looking around the top i think.

Yes I've seen the ej20, stamped, just below the back of the alternator ( i think).

So the engine no would read EJ20 + the numbers stamped on the block below the Intercooler?


I need it to document an engine swap.

you can just send of the details saying unknown. the DVLA don't care about engine number's. Most people with import don't have an engine number on their V5.
