Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone has had an oil leak from the front of the engine.
When i give it full beans it drops a bit of oil onto the heat sheild on the front of the engine and obviously smokes.

I've had it for a couple of months and is not getting any worse. Had my cambelt done 2 weeks ago and its not coming from the crank seal (apparently). there looks to be an oil return pipe? 15mm dia approx, below the cambelt covers which is wet with oil so am not sure if its that or something else.

any suggestions will be welcome, thanx in advance....

Drivers side rocker cover gasket..hitting your heatsheild causing lots of smelly smoke.

Had the same with mine, took it to a garage last year with oil leak they said they would look at it whilst they were doing cam belt. They said seal was ok. I have since then done the rocker cover myself cos that was leaking but still oil dripping from oil pump area. I have it in bits now and it does appear to be the seal. The oil drips down onto the exhaust and that pipe you mentioned, which looks like a coolant pipe to me,its the one that goes to the cooler on top of the oil filter. Looks like thats your problem or oil is leaking from back of oil pump. I have taken mine off to do the crank seal so i will seal the pump back on when iv finished.
