Question Prodrive anti lag system (ALS) from P2

Just been reading up on the new Prodive P2 coupe, their first production car using an subaru R1 mini car platform with the "proven" ej20 2.0 boxer engine from the Impreza. This engine is runing a modified antilag system (350bhp/tonne figure is banded about) from the prodive rally cars but modified for road use giving 25% greater fuel effiecency! So this little coupe specs are as follows: 1100kg, 350bhp/tonne, sub 4 sec 0-60 and you still get 40mpg

Now I cannot afford the 40k price just yet but what I want to know is what is so special about this anti lag system to give these figures, and where to I get one from to put on my WRX +35mpg would be nice!!

Any info anyone has on the fuctionallity of this antilag would be great too so if prodive dont wanna sell you one you could still have a pop at modifying a "normal anti lag system"

Scratch them heads lads!

This car doesnt push 350bhp per tonne, the quoted output figure on the car is 349ps on an 1100kg car

I'd imagine it's 25% better mpg compared to the WRC anti-lag, not to pslewis fuel economy...

Default P2 Prodrive anti lag

Tony mate, check out www.prodrive.com and you will see that they themselves are quoting 350bhp per tonne in an 1100kg car. I know where your coming from with the 350 to a tonne meaning there would be 10% loss on the 350 figure.

Also I have been talking to a few people today and one possible soulution would be a return exhaust pipe creating a loop effectively in the downpipe to turbo compressor say with a one way valve fittied. While your off throttle the valve recuirculates the wasted air onto the compressor side on the turbo keepiing it spooled up then when you floor it the valve directs the gasses out the exhuast pipe. Obviously you will have to regulate the pressure held to avoid turbo and engine stalling but its one way it could be done. any more ideas or theroys are welcome
