Yeah i did, i had to release quite a bit of fluid to get the pads on, so topped it all up, pumped them alot. Think i may as well bleed them while im at it.

you will almost definately need to bleed the brakes after pushing the pistons back a long way.if they stay spongy after bleeding, your brake pipes may need replacing for braided ones as they might be expanding when you apply the brakes.the pads and disks will take a good few miles to bed in to each other.

If u have only fitted disc n pads u should not have to bleed the brakes. New pads still need to be beded in this can take 20/30 miles just vary your braking

Why have you released fluid to change pads and discs? Its not required!!!If you have undone the bleed niples to release fluid the they will almost certainly require bleeding.

Nail on the head! To push the pistons back without un-screwing the nippples, I use a small g-clamp. As said, as soon as you release the nipple, air will enter the system. Get a self-bleed kit from halfords for £4. Very easy job with one of those!
