Headgasket..or is it???
I have a 93 wrx which starts up first time, revs very well, no smoke or noise, no overheating...nothing!
BUT
1) i seem to have a little water spilling out the backpipe?
2) when i check the oil dipstick its very runny...15w40 millers
3) today i think i noticied a little mustard colour when checking the dipstick ....even looks a little bubbly?
So please someone put me out of my misery....is it fooked ? also if the head gasket is gone can i get away with just changeing the gaskets or do i have to send the heads away...as car is running A1, thanks in advance

Has it been thoroughly warmed up recently, the water out the back could be condensation, and there might be a little in the oit aswell if it's only been run for short periods recently, i'd say get it warm, and drive it for a while, see if the look of the oil changes....

Hello Ron, the car has been sat for a few months but i must say water has come out each time the car was started. When the car was cold the oil was very drippy however when it warmed up(running for 20-30 minutes) it seemed better.Couls 1 side gasket have gone? hence why its still running ok or would it start to misfire?

The water out of the exhaust IF it is condensation can happen evertime you start the car til it's warm, it wouldn't necessarily misfire, the only sure way to tell is do a compression test on each cylinder, you need a special tool for this, ie, get someone to check it for you..... does it use any water.....???

I'm a bit far away to tell mate to be honest, maybe, maybe not, if the water level stays constant, and it doesn't overheat, then for what it's worth i say NO!! but i have been wrong before.... so, get the compression tested.....
