Is there such thing as a uprated cam belt, or will the std part suffice
Also is the tensioner up to taking mods
car is a MY00..

Yes there is, you can get kevlar reinforced ones that are a lot stronger and suffer minimal stretch over its lifetime resulting in no loss of timing.

Not really necessary if you havent gone crazy with mods.

Tomei and Power Enterprise are two makes that spring to mind.

Put it this way. ALL OE specification cambelts are gauranteed to last their rated service intervals as a bare minimum (providing tensioner/iders/waterpump/crank+cam seals are all in good order).
