Default grinding noise

had a slight grinding noise earlier just after pulling off to drive home. Only lasted a few seconds, could this be clutch related as it seemed to smell a bit afterwards and my clutch is wearing out

thanks

Not knowing exactly what the noise sounds like and what the clutch feels like ? If its driving ok with NO obvious faults then it should be fine to drive light footed,I drove mine for arond 1500mls from when it first slipped upto the change,Flywheel was sound but had it skimmed anyway.
