I've a WRX STI V2. It was boosting at 1.2 bar or thereabouts (HKS gauge). It was often hitting the fuel cut.

Anyway, had an engine rebuild and the boost solinoid was cleaned as we thought it was overboosting. Since then the car either boosts at 0.8 or 1.2. it's totally random, through the gears it will sometimes boost at 0.8, change gear, then it will boost at 1.2 bar????

I really don't understand what is going on!! It hasn't got an after market ECU and it's not got a MBC?????

yeah i have a sti 2 with z4 in
and mine some times goes like f-ck and then other times not so fast,
the boost goes up to 1 then back to 0.8 but other days it just flys

so i have same sort of prob
