Default Need some info on a WRX STi Type RA Version 2

As the title says I need some info on what turbo and what injectors are used on a WRX STi Type RA Version 2, Ive tried looking today, but I cant see the front of the turbo, I did think it was a VF23 for some reason, but the paperwork with the car says its a Td05. I also need to know what injectors come with the car.

Thanks

They come fitted with a TD05, 90 degree entry.

As for the injectors, I think (from researching on here) that they are 380cc, but i'm not sure on that one.

Version 3 STi's have 440cc.

Correct Normski, I've got a WRX STI V2 (not RA). It's got the TD05 90 degree entry turbo with the 380cc injectors.

Look at your fuel rails and locate the injectors. If they are grey then they will be the 380cc.

Hope that helps!!!!

Thanks lads.

Couldnt see the front of the turbo, and thought it would be easier to ask on here then to start stripping stuff of the engine.

Correct me if I'm a little wrong, but, I think that the V.2 RA's came with the roof flap above the windscreen and a DCCD (switch located by handbrake).

Nick.

Yes, your right Nick.

Also (talking about standard STi Ra's here), body colour is white unless it's a V-Limited and then it will be blue (like mine).

No side skirts, no extensions to front or rear bumpers, Non-colour coded door handles/wing mirrors, roof vent as mentioned, and the aerial will be a manual one on the A-pillar (unlike the normal STi which has a powered one at the rear).

Mechanical changes centre around the DCCD transmission with close ratios in the gearbox. And weight reduction from not having ABS, electric windows/mirrors, air-con, less sound deadining (sp?) etc.

There are other changes dependant on the version, e.g. the fifth injector and higher red line/rev limit (due to the use of solid lifters) on versions 1 & 2.

Did the STI RA's come with a red top manifold?

Was there ever a WRX RA? How can you tell the difference???

Thanks!

Some of the STI V2 had a red manifold. Mine had.

WRX RA's were made, you need the details off the VIN plate to find out

Some more usefull/useless (delete as applicable) info for you.

A version 2 STI Ra doesn't have a red inlet manifold, they started on the version 2 cars with the exception of the STi Ra of that year.

Wrx Ra's are white (early ones can be red also), have no rear spoiler, no fog light covers, no skirts, black door handles/mirrors, and the aeriel is on the A-pillar.

Mechanically, they also have the close-ratio gearbox (but no DCCD), same engine as the Wrx of the same year with the addition of IC water spray (and non-functioning fifth injector for versions 1 & 2), no ABS, no air-con, no power windows/mirrors.
