Unhappy power fc help!

Hi bit of a long post, so make yourselves comfy. Recently had a power fc fitted and mapped to my 92wrx, however last thursday night a few hours after a bit of a run, I started the car and it was idling badly and wouldnt rev over 2400rpm. I was advised to check the coilpacks which I did and 2 were damaged (this may have been me though when removing them). Have replaced these with good ones, started the car and although it now idles slightly better, it still wouldnt rev over 2400. (checked for loose hose connections etc to make sure nothing had come loose but everything is okay)

I swapped back to the standard ecu (U8), started it up and it was fine, runs without problem. Thought I would get the engine upto temp and then swap back to the power fc to see if it was a cold start thing.

Swapped back to the power fc and it now sort of revs on its own (just under 1900rpm) and then drops back down again (checked the commander and the inj duty was going to around 20+ and then dropping to 0. Also did a map trace and it seemed to be going into a few different locations (whilst it was reving itself)

I dont really know how to use the commander(apart from monitor mode) so was wondering if there is anything I can check/do on the commander to get it to idle correctly. Is it possible for the map to somehow become corrupted?
I am currently waiting to hear from the mapper but would appreciate any help in the mean time.

Didnt run the car to long on the power fc as although there was a low knock level of 6 on the commander, it seemed to be overfuelling loads, noticed by the smoke coming out of the exhaust! (and me getting high)

I'd stick the std ecu back in until you can get hold of him. Overfueling can cause bore wash and other issues.

have managed to sort out the problem, the oem dump valve was stuck open. Strange how the car ran okay with the original ecu but not with the power fc (must admit didnt drive the car though so would have probably told a different story)

Anyway all sorted and running sweet again

No, an OEM recirc dump valve wouldn't cause that. Did you have it adapted to VTA ?

no it was an oem recirc which was on when the car was mapped. As I say I thought it was strange that everything appeared to be okay with the standard ecu. Replaced the oem recirc valve with one from a scrappy, plumbed in exactly the same way and it is fine.
