Question Engine malfunction warning light after new exhaust

Having fitted a WR Sport back box to my 03 WRX on Xmas Eve I now find that the yellow engine block shaped warning light is on and won't go out despite a run of about 20 miles.
Have I knocked off a sensor or something or is it going to reset itself?
Should I be driving it? Seems to be running ok.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

If all you'vedone is fit a back box (and a Prodrive one at that) it's highly unlikely to be the cause of the CEL (warning light you described )..!

If you haven't already done this try restarting the car 5 times (pref. when engine warm) as this will reset warning light if it was a one off (will show on ECU log at next service). However if it stays on then it would indicate a persistant (sp?) fault, ie. something has gone kaput..!

Other than the CEL does the car still drive OK, does it feel like it's making usual boost..?

Thanks guys. Looks like even I couldn't have got near a sensor! Turned it on then off and on again and light's gone out. Did it a further 4 times as advised and all is well. Sounds so much better too!
Really appreciate the help. These things always happen when the dealers are shut!
