bloody expansion tank !!!!
Hi gang,
i have a 1995 wrx and the damn coolant tank keeps breaking ie the hose connectors snap off and so on. I need to get a new/second hand tank but i dont realy want to get one of the same material as the same problems will happen.
Is their a tank i could use from a different car ? maybe from the scrap yard.
Cheers gang and happy xmas to you all.

You got the graphite tank then? Prone to leaking around the chrome seal.
Changed mine some years ago. I contacted http://www.gradea-subaru.co.uk/. They supplied a new age alloy tank for £50 inc P&P. Not a straight swap but with a little work at the bench they will go on. Far better option than the graphite tanks. Give em a ring i'm sure there be able to help you.

I am using the Forge item after a hamfisted tuner (sorry Andy!) leant on my original and snapped the hose off. The original material is glass filled nylon and not graphite btw....I was an plastic injection mould technician in a previous life

A new age tank will not bolt straight on to the original postion because the mounts are different. You'll need to cut a file some alloy for some bracketary.
Not difficult just a little time consuming thats all. You'll also find that theres a slight difference in pipe work. I was lucky i had reasonable selection here of different shapes and size's. Finished the job of quite nicely.
