Default Fitting new fuel pump

Hi All

The fuel pump has failed and therefore needs replacing.Will i need to reset the ecu after fitting the new pump?If so now is it done.
Can anyone help please.

No need to reset ecu m8
If ever you feel the need just remove the battery while you do the job and after an hour'ish it will have reset anyway

Thanks for your help.
Changed the pump no problems.Car runs well.As you said no need to reset ecu.
