Default Like a boat in the wind

Guys

Just wondering if anyone can help me on this one. I have a MY98 Impreza UK Turbo and over the last few months the handling has gone pear shaped. Its feels a bit like driving with a strong gusty cross wind in that the car feels kind of wavey. Another way to describe it would be like driving in extermely slippery conditions.

I have had a joint (not sure what one) changed on the drivers side as it was doing a bit of knocking.

Would a re-check on the geometry sort this out or is it something completely different. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Kieran

On a more serious note, I've noticed exactly the same symtoms in the past week or so with my new age wrx. Tyre pressures seem OK. I don't know if its just down to slippery roads and wet leaves, stuff like that. Feels wavey at the front.
