Default what effect...

... would a disconnected speedo cable have on the rest of the engine / managemeny system?

its a 93WRX... i've just changed the clutch, and i didnt re-attach the speedo properly as it isnt reading anything... also there is a loud whistling noise coming from the engine when it starts too boost.
... immediate thoughts are split / insufficiently tightened hose somewhere...

any advice on :
best places to look for hoses not connected,
what effect the disconnected speed sensor will have?

ta muchly

hose leak is probably just that..

the ecu may limit rpm to 4500rpm due to no speed input.
