If I have an R impreza turbo, what STI Version is this equivalent to, in terms of year?

I want to add some body styling parts and spoiler and prefer to mod to the same period

STI 4 (insert period)
STI 5 (insert period)
STI 6 (insert period)

MY98 for v4
MY99 for v5
MY00 for v6.

note that the model year comes out in about september the previous year, so an MY98 v4 can be registered from late 97.
