Default OE header porting

Hi All,

Whats the score with porting the standard headers then? i guess it's worth while as i've noticed a few recommendations for it however, how is it done and to where/what do you do to it, is there a template avaliable to diy or is it best to get someone to do it for you (obviously in exchange for sheckles)
i was going to put some equal length headers on but i'm not sure i need to for the power levels i'm going to be looking for, 320-340 is what i'd like to see with good driveability.
Any response would be cool

No insult to you, but asking these questions probably means you need to buy a set!
Harvey does a demon job from what I've seen, and not too many sheckles.

The job needs some good grinding tools and a good eye for consistancy otherwise it can be a labourious job (I've done it to mine).
Graham

Again, no offence meant.

no insult taken but as i've never had the standard headers off i'm not sure what i need to be concentrating on,

i do think i'd be able to do this mod myself, which is why i thought i'd ask for advice on what needs doing.
its would be very difficult for me to get it done by someone due to where i live at the moment (Germany)
is it just a case of making the exhaust ports bigger and matchin them to the gaskets? or is ther someting else involved as well?
