Blimey Charlie £130 from main dealer - is that the going rate ?

I got one for mine (ver 2 / 1996) from 'blueprint'. Check you local motor factors to see if they sell these parts. It was £77.

I'm not sure if your car uses the same part, but they do the later spec ones as well (they supplied me the later one by mistake, think it was ~£90)

 

I've just sold a second hand low mileage for £50.
