Default is larger diameter up pipe no good?

ive just just fitted a greddy solid up pipe to my w reg turbo along with mildly ported headers and full ninja exhaust . the up pipe looked a bit bigger diameter,will this affect spool up or will it make it better? thanks

yes it should do. i had one fitted to my uk turbo with the manifold at the same time but i would highly recommend that you have it mapped or you may come across boost problems.

cheerz dan. im am saving up for a remap at the moment,it will probly be just after chritmas now wen i get it dun. i just want to make sure that the mods ive dun to the exhaust are ok b4 its mapped. sumone told me that fitting an larger up pipe would give me more turbo lag but id alresdy fiited it.

I asked this a while ago and Pavlo responded saying that a 2" pipe seems to be about right for most applications. Might be worth porting the turbine inlet to match if you can.

this threads a bit old mate. lol cheerz anyway tho, i did port the turbo inlet out to match the up pipe. thanks
