Your car being a my95 jap import it will be a speedo cable convertor you will need i have only seen two types of these you get the easyer to fit and more reliable convertor of the two which is normaly silver which slips straight onto the rear of your speedo head then connect your speedo cable! the other one you have to split the speedo cable at the join just above the gearbox and insert the converter between the two parts and secure cable's with supplied clips!

cant see it being the electronic convertor you need! but if it is i could get you the wiring diagram. best thing to do is pop your bonnet and have a look down the drivers side of the bulkhead and check if the cable coming out the top of the gearbox is a cable type or if it is a sensor with three wires coming out of it! hope this is off some help
