Default steering

Hi there, ive just bought my subaru wrx 94....i noticed when driving it home it would be driving in a straight line then every so often it would pull left or right or maybe both quite hard (will test more tomorrow) what could this be??? the steering feels light and no noises.

thanks

Sounds like its tramlining. They all do that, even more so with larger wider wheels. If you drove fairly standard cars before you probably haven't noticed it, but with a wider wheeled car it has a tendancy to follow grooves in the road made by years of heavy vehicles travelling over them.

17's should be fine. Thats what I've got, but mine are prodrive speedlines so they're the correct offset, but it still tramlines. If yours has a different offset that could be causing your problems. They shouldn't be rubbing at all. What tyre size are you running?

Thats the same size as mine. AFAIK the recommended size is 205/50/17 but they're expensive and I've never had any problems. If they're only rubbing on speed bumps, I say take it easy for now. Are your wheels Subaru recommended. There is all different offsets for different models. The stud patterns are the same though.
