could anyone tell me if this is a prodrive ecu for an my00 uk impreza turbo 2000 and if i was going fit it, can i just plug and play or does it need setting up in any way ???

I think it is but i haven't seen mine since it was put in 2 years ago.
Mine went into a MY99 and it was just plug and play
IIRC the MY98 PPP ECU had 4 jack plugs

 

looks right. this is what is written on my pink label
STI 1001056110
A18-000 DIX 9X15
UNISIA JECS CORP

The 1999/2000 model was 4 plug. 1998 = 3 plug
There is no setting up, just plug it in...!!

I cannot really comment on the picture,but if you can determin that it is the correct one it is just a simple swap.
I have just done it and the results are better than expected.
I also upgraded the Intercooler pipe which is normal practice for Prodrive.( I was lucky and bought the whole lot 2nd hand.)
