Depends what is needed. If it's just a bearing, then probably about £1200 if nothing else is damaged, but that is rarely the case. what is the problem with the bottom end? Is it bearings, pistons or something else?

I would budget around the £1700 - £2000 inc vat region depending on what's wrong. You are probably going to need a new crank, new bearing shells, and the heads will need stripping and inspecting for debris and bent valves.
A cheaper way is to get an Ebay engine or whatever, but you really don't know what you're getting it wouldn't be the first time that someone got an engine that was already dead!
