just a quick question sounds like my turbo bearings have gone.
they have started to whine quite badly now.

thing is i'm a little unsure now if it is the turbo and not the drive chain

there is no smoke coming out so i dont know,only whines on boost more so in 4/5
hope some one can shed some light the car has done around 80.000miles

If it wines as you come on boost its the turbo...

the bearings fail allowing the blades of the turbo to rub past the housing (its a very close fit!) and cause a typical wining noise!
