Dean,

I've just this very minute collected a knock sensor for my MY99. The actual sensor itself looks identical, but the Subaru part comes with it's own mini wiring loom.

Rather than worry about the loom being faulty, I just bought the whole replacement part from Subaru. £55 though

I can take some pics later of the Subaru one if it'll help compare it to the Bosh part.

Hi Dean,

I'm getting a ECU error 22 (CEL light keeps throwing) and the car hesitates very badly when the light is on. It's intermittent though with it coming on and going off pretty randomly.

Got mine from Ian Grieve (new Subaru Dealer in Falkirk, Scotland), but the list price is £54.28+VAT and should be the same at every other Dealer in the UK. They gave me a decent discount, so I paid £54.22 inc.VAT today.

Part number is 22060AA070 (sen assy-knock) according to the packet.

Stefan

Some pics.

The sensor looks identical to the Bosch one I ran with my knocklink, but I can't get the connector off to see properly and I don't want to break it trying !!!

Hi Stefan,
Have you looked at your Oem one that is currently fitted to your Car ?? Mine looks like it is hard wired at the sensor end, but the connector on the end off the wire loom looks identical. & you are right, your new sensor does look exactly like the Bosch one.
Do you have the Dealers phone number
Thanks

Yeah, I had a look at it last week. From what I remember it looks pretty much the same as the new one although it was buried under pipework so I couldn't get a decent look.

Dealer's number is 01324 605100. I waited nearly 3 weeks, so you may want to try AF Noble in Penicuk (outside Edinburgh) as they've been better at getting parts for me in the past. Their number is 01968 678002.

Dean,

Swapped the faulty one over today. It looks identical to the replacement.
