Default simple question

On my 94 wrx, if I remove the belt that runs the air con I will free up a bit more power but not have air con anymore correct? Theres nothing else that will be affected is there?
Will i even notice the difference?
My air con leaked all its gas anyway so I thought I might as well remove the belt and stop the squeaking I get form the bearing in the tensioner at the same time.

Thanks
Steve

In theory you should have more power but i doubt you will even notice any difference except for the lack of the bearing whining. you may as well take the pump off and remove all the pipework to save on weight if you not looking at getting it repaired.LOL

Turbo is dead right. I removed the belt on mine as the magnetic bear/clutch droned on and on....
