Default Bit of a performance problem...

hey up everyone,

i have recently purchased and fitted a stainless steel exhasut system (beginning of august)

for the first month or so i was getting optimum performance, excellent sound etc.. i had my second cat taken off so i only have the one which comes from the manifold.

a few weeks ago, the engine started stuttering, similar to that when there is condensation in the engine. in fact i thought it was at first what with the damp nad cold weather. this gradually got worse to the extent where i had very little power. my car was 'juddering' and even back firing. (it sounded quite good i must admit, like a rally car) i took it to the garage presuming it was an electrical problem. they told me that the ignition coil split and they replaced it. they did a diagnostics test and nothing showed up. they also reset my ecu. my car drove better than ever before and the efficiency increased!! i was supprised!!

this was about 2 weeks ago. since then i have changed the oil and filter and travelled no more that 300 miles.

my problem is that my car has become very sluggish now all over a sudden. it doesnt have that 'umph' that it once had especially from 2 weeks ago. its 0-60 has cosiderably decreased. in some respects it feels like as if it is either not recieving enough air, or its pumping in too much fuel. the air filter is a new K&N and is ok.

i dont know whether it might be the fuel filter, the sparks, or that the ecu has not been adjusted to the new exhaust, but i would have thought that by resetting the ecu it would have resolved this??

can anyone help me in advising me what might be wrong??
