This week I've had problems with the plastic covers under the car coming away, and have cable-tied them back on as best as I can. On the way back from London up the M40 yesterday, a cover came loose and was dragging.

Again I have tied it up again, in more places this time.

Today I can feel a bumping as I drive - I have checked the tyres and can't feel any bulges or anything, though I did hit a HUGE pot-hole last night. Was only doing about 25mph if that, but it was deep enough to swallow the wheel.

So, what is it likely to be? Could it be one of the covers flapping or catching somewhere, or is it more likely to be damage from the pot-hole?

What can I look for? It's an MY 97 UK Classic Turbo Impreza, btw.

Looks like I might have to get new alloys anyway - took them off at the weekend - Christ!! What a mess Most of the paint has come off them, and they look dreadful.
