Default boost and weather

Am I going mad?


I keep reading about upping the boost in winter and lowering it in summer?

Surly this isnt right?!

From what i understand in the winter air is cooler therefore more boost can be achieved as a result of denser air. In summer the opposite happens. I am no scientist but a basic understanding is enough for me!

Yes it's true. When ambient temperatures go above a certain amount (40 degrees?), the ECU will back off the boost to preserve the motor from going bang. Well that's the case in a newage STi supposedly.
