Morning Peeps,

Over the last couple of weeks the CEL has been popping up occasionally. Always about a minute after start from cold, lasting about 30 secs then going off with no obvious detriment to the cars performance. This has happened about half a dozen times on a MY94 JDM doing about 400 miles a week.

Today when the light came on it stayed on and the car was kangarooing up the road and at 50mph it wa like hitting the limiter, so needless to say i backed off turned it around and came home.

The only mods are K&N panel, De-Cat and HKS Super Drager. Service is due and booked for the weekend.

Any ideas as to what could be causing this or what i can investigate further?

 

once the CEL stays on you go into a "safe" mode, which explains the lack of go.......................

you'd need to do a diagnostic to sort out what is going on??

I'll be in later this week for oil, filter, etc.
