Im finally getting an impreza (52-plate wrx) after years of waiting. I want the loud exhaust note that you here so many times from a subaru and i want a loud dump valve. The guys in my last thread were arguing about what they actually do. Befor i came to this site i never even thought about what damage they cause, is it really true?

Get the damn dumpvalve man, if you listened to everyone on this site you'd be afraid to drive ur subaru!! get the hks ssqv or a nice recirculating one, up to you..ive the hks ssqv, had the blitz supersound one but changed it for the hks

 

they prevent damage - specifically to the turbo!
