Smile Setting fuel gauge to empty

Hi guys, I'm new here and would appreciate some help.
My brother often borrows my car (03 WRX )and he never never fill up the tank after that.
And I'm getting pissed. The only thing that stops him from taking my car is when he sees that it has no petrol left. So is there any way I can tweak the gauge to show its permanently empty? A DIY step by step guide would be great.

I am sure there is a way of adding a "hidden switch" connected to the signal line to the dash, but if he starts the car and sees the petrol light on, if he really wants to drive the car then he will probably go to a petrol station anyway and realise when it takes 3 quid to fill it but the light stays on!
Keep the keys with you at all times, thats the best bet.

How odd. Are you frightened of him or has he got something on you?
Keep the keys in your pocket and tell him to ............. That is the quickest, easiest, cheapest common sense solution I have for you.
Hope it is not too technical.

Have you got an alarm pad in the car? take the fob of the keys and use the keypad to arm/disarm the car. Without the code to the alarm he can't do jack
