Turbo Upgrade And Octane Booster
What turbo would be a good upgrade for a uk classic. Believe that the standard one is on at the min and am interested in upgrading. Have heard that if u put a bigger turbo on then acceleration would be reduced or more lag but better mid range, Is this true can some1 reccomend a turbo that would give me more acceleration. Octane booster, what does this actually do and is it worth it?

The standard stuff from NOS (£10) can increase RON by up to 3 points but they also do a racing only version (£20) that can raise RON by up to 6 points.
I have tried both, the first for normal road driving and the second for a track day.
The stuff seems to make the car feel a little bit more potent on hard acceleration but not much else and it didnt seem to do any harm. I wouldn't bother with it for every day use in a standard or mildly modded car if you use Optimax (97 RON) or equivelant.
Havn't got a clue about the turbo's, there's too many to pick from.

depends what turbo you've got. Best one for less than £200 would be a TD05FE. Otherwise you're looking toward the thousand quid mark for 400bhp capable ones.
