Default MOT and Emissions

Just put my car in for an mot it failed on the emissions as i was expecting as my car is de-catted but what i would like to try and find out is, if i was to put the centre section cat only back on the car (as ive just found 1 on e-bay) would it make a difference ?? also would it play havoc with the ecu setup ??

thanks in advance for any replies

not sure what age your car is ive just had the same problem with mine although i have an imported car and found out it does not need a cat test on the mot it is tested without,? this was a great help as the car sailed through the test may help?

A lot of people have had no probs with just the center cat fitted and its easy to swop over BUT make sure its nice and warm first to get the best from it..
