front entry to side entry??

front entry to side entry??
is it possible to conver a turbo from front to side entry?? if the turbo is a fron entry what would you need to convert a my93wrx to accept it

a 90 degree samco hose, a 2" bit of ally tube and some hose clips
not sure on the diameter of the turbo you are putting on though

a wrx or uk salloon (up to MY96) should have a TD05 as standard.
the TD05 is a 90 deg(side entry) turbo as standard is better than 95% of the front entry ihi turbos.
it will make more power and is a lot more reliable than the ihi turbos too!

Will be a TD05 16G 90deg entry on that model for definate, unless someone has changed it.
My car just made 348bhp/330ft.lb with this turbo.

Nice one.
Contrary to popular opinion, the power output will not improve noticably with a front entry under inlet manifold intake as opposed to a front entry with a SWEEPING 90 deg silicone to allow a side intake which is easier to do.
Having done it a few times, we know, don't we Jonny.
