Default electronic boost controllers

I have a classic WRX that I use for a bit of sprinting and hillclimbing...also used daily. It is decatted, and I have fitted a scoobyecu and walbro pump. Any advantage in fitting an electronic mechanical boost controller. I see there is a "Hybrid" one on ebay for 60 quid, that runs 3 levels of boost...could be handy. Are they any good though? Am I gonna be tempting a detonation situation! I have a boost guage fitted.

There good for setting up how quickly the boost comes in, also for holding the boost, and you can also set up different boost levels for different gears. I would personally recommend a knocklink though to monitor any form of detonation if you have one.
