Default Removing housing from TD05 turbo

Can anyone shed any light on how to remove the housing from a standard TD05 turbo as im trying to fit a front entry housing and cant get the old one off is there an idiots guide?

I used 2 flat head screw drivers and pushed down on the big clip shaped like a horse shoe, put a fews holes in the garage carpet though,

well you did say idiot some where.

a pair of long nose pliers will do also, if you dont get it go to a feckin machanic!

Sometimes you will need to punch the circlip eyes with a suitable pointed end punch or chisel, before getting a good pair of internal circlip pliers on it...

The circlip can get stuck and requires a 'shock' before it will move.

Once you've got it moving, use some WD40 or similar on it, and a small flatblade screwdriver can help to get the clip out of the lip in the compressor cover

Cheers guys great advice ive got the cover off now with no problems,my next question is how do you remove the compressor wheel as i have another wheel which i wish to replace it with.Everything spins together and its doing my head in
