How are fault codes read/extracted from an Impreza version 5 EJ20 turbo MY99?

Do you need a diagnostic code reader (if so... what make/who sells them) or is it done by 'Blink codes'??

Where would i obtain a list of the codes?

Could somebody also confirm that these part numbers are correct for the above engine...
thermostat #22630AA041,
coolant temp sensor #21203AA030 (i'm after the sensor with the grey triangle shaped multiplug)

Do a search for it mate, plenty of info around for it, its all related to the green and black connectors underneath the steering colomn

i had done a search before hand and only really come up with people's code reading services.

Does that information cover all years or within a certain range (I was unable to go to the home page for more info)??

 

Not too sure on what model years it covers, i just did a search and that came up

Just give it a go mate, and if it shows up a code which you cant determine, post back with the results. This method works fine with my 99m/y though!
