Default Boost Controller with Factory Ecu: Concerns/Tips?

For a MY97 Impreza, with stock ECU (full decat), thinking of installing an HKS EVC4 boost controller..

what are the things i should do/watch out for?

How much boost (Kg/Cm2) can i safely put in? (when does a MY97 fuel cut?)

Thanks!

You should be monitoring very carefully for any detonation, which will grenade your engine in a very short space of time.

Because you won't have the facility to add more fuel, or remove any timing, you shouldn't run more than about 16psi
