Spark plugs and coils is a good place to start, it will probably be one or the other.

You need to remove airbox and resonator, as well as screen wash container, then its not so hard.

You need a rachet set with a sparkplug socket and small extension.

Airbox removal is a must, I can do with out removing screen wash or anything else though. Does involve lying on floor for the 2 plugs on passenger side.

Use 1/4" ratchet and / or a spanner for the coil packs and 1/2" ratchet with a 2" extension and plug socket for the plugs.

The plugs on mine were OK, but the 2 hardest coil packs to get to (on passenger side) had gone.

Once you have suffered once the next time is easy, honest :-)

Screen wash removal is two bolts and done in 30 secs, well worth it to not have to go from bottom.

Best thing for the coils is a ratchet spanner (technical terms...not), I think its a 14mm, could be 12.

Its not hard but can take a while, I think about 1 hour to take them all out and replace.

it's a 10mm isn't it?

You might be able to see arcing if you check under the bonnet at night with the engine running.
