Default Impreza to Legacy GTB

Looking for help, please.
I've saved my pennies for over a year now and finally saved enough to buy a 94/95 Impreza WRX fresh import and fully re-map it.
Now 'er indoors has announced she's pregnant (again) and shafted me.
It seems the only way forward is to buy a Legacy GTB estate but i've spent sooo long trying to get to grips with Imprezas e.g fuel/octane/re-maps etc.. I could really appreciate some help.
Does a '95 Legacy twin turbo need the same RON fuel as the Impreza, will 95RON plus octane boost do, will I need a re-map, will I need to totally change the ecu (cause I need to keep it a while now) for reliability (peace of mind) or should I tell her to abort the mission and go for an Impreza?
(Not an option, i've been told to add.)

Any feedback much appreciated.

Take a look here

UKLegacy.com

and start asking questions/info

GTB's are quick, but are a different animal to the Impreza.
0-60 in 6
top end is around 150, depending on model.

All JDM require 100ron fuel, and need careful modding.
