don't know about that particular setup but my standard TD05 is running fine without one

You can run without, however, you will probably find it drives much nicer with a recirc dumpvalve, preferably one that opens relatively easily. The 20g can have surge problems, which will tend to rear there head on when lightly coming off the throttle. Give it a try without and see how you go. If you get lift off jerkiness, then something like a Forge recirc with the weakest spring (which is still quite stiff) may be the ticket. The 99/00 and beyond standard valves work quite nicely too, just the 97/98 plastic ones that can be a problem (they often split with high boost).

Sorry to raise up these questions again about running without a dump valve.
BUT> Lets say I now go out to my car and take off the dump valve. Then what? Apart from blocking the vacuum hose off, is there anything else I should do?? I have a MY00 btw. Do I need to block off the whole in the intercooler where the DV came from or just leave it as is??
