ko so I reconected the battery after leaving it over night and checked the error codes befor starting the engine and got no codes so I started the engine and it was running rough so i checked the codes again and got code 23 again. What is the most likely cause have i replaced the old broken maf with a new broken maf or could it be some thing else?
cheers

Have you check the connector or the wiring (maf end)
Or you could try someone local with same year scooby to do a quick swap around to make sure its not the new maf thats faulty.

Were are you based & what model year is it?
