Just wondering how much attention they pay to the car is it like eagle eyes that will spot anything???

Reason i'm asking i'm awaiting delivery of a car which is fitted with a few aftermarket mods. The main one being an Apexi power fc and hand commander. The plan was just to take out the commander and leave the ecu in. What i want to know will they lift the carpet up and check to see what ecu is in the car?????

 

Not if it is non model report, pre 1997 they wont. If it is post 1997 they will check ECU part number etc

yeah its a 97. I know i'm paying 10% duty and 17.5% tax when it arrives. What do you think it will cost after that is paid to get it on the road???

 

It'll cost you roughly another £120+ shipping agent fees which will get it released from the docks.

After that you've got :

MOT £40
SVA Prep (Fog light, Speedo Conversion, fuel regulator)
SVA £190 + Model Report £300
Registration £132 (inc 6 months roadtax)

so if everything was spot on - probably around £800+, more if you need parts for the car to pass the sva.......

 

This pre-supposes that a model report exists for your car. If not you have a PROBLEM.
